Yesterday the chessboard on itsyourturn.com won't show up.I never had this problem before.
I get to the page and the moves of the game are shown. I can read messages but the board with the chess pieces won't appear. Recently i tried disabeling some add-ons in my firefox browser as yahoo suggested because I was was having trouble getting online with their chat function. I reenabled the add-ons and had the same problem. I even reinstalled firefox to no success. I think the sloution is probably simple but I don't know what it is.. I tried refreshing the page to no effect. Itsyourturn.com suggested checking the vcache settings. What does that mean? Anyway I don't see how those settings could have been altered though its possible. Any suggestions? Oh yea, the sight works properly wien I use internet explorer as my browser.
What happened?

It appears the problem was caused by something YOU did to Firefox when trying to "fix" it. If you reinstalled Firefox over the top of itself, it probably didn't change anything. You need to uninstall it, then delete the Mozilla Firefox folder, then run CCleaner to clear out any remaining files. Reboot, then reinstall Firefox.

I believe that site uses javascript. See if you turned that off in firefox. You would check this by going to tools then options. Look under the content tab. There you should see a checkbox for javascript.

I tried uninstalling, ccleaner, reboot, reinstall about 3 times and still get no chess board but the other things on the site show up. After uninstalling there are no program files to delete so I couldn't do that. also the last 2 times I did it the icon in the task bar looks wierd . It doesn't look at all like it used to though it still is labled firefox.did they change their Icon. itsyourturn.com still works on internet explorer and I used the java test which showed java is working properely. Any suggestions? I'll try to ask firefox help again but they still haven't replied after 3 days

The higest IE I can get does not use tabs and I don't have my bookmarks on IE.Instead of just using another tab I would have to wait for another window to open on IE

That's the price you pay for running an outdated OS. You can easily move your Firefox bookmarks to IE favorites, but if the problem is just with one site, why not just use IE for that site & Firefox for everything else? There are plenty of other browsers with tabs that work with WinME. Have a look at Maxthon, Opera or SeaMonkey:

Guess what was wrong with it people........My friend told me to right click the chessboard area which I did and I got a dropdown box that had an option of block images. I unchecked that box and it worked. I don't know why that box stayed checked after reinstalling firefox and I don't know how it got checked to begin with. Thanks for your attempts to help me solve it.

Still wouldn't hurt to have a look at those other browsers. Maxthon is based on IE, SeaMonkey comes from Mozilla/Firefox. Opera is said to be the fastest.
