How can you check to see what web sites you have visited or in my case what someone else has visited?

Sure, just click the down arrow to the left of the address window IOT get history. You can make sure you cover your surfing tracks (this is probably what prompted the question, yes?) by checking everything in tweakui paranoia tab.
