What does a PC need to be protected for Online Banking? I want to start doing my banking/bills online butI have been having alot of problems lately with Spyware/Viruses on my computer and I am starting to retink it. After all the reading i have done on here recently it seems that no computer is safe. I am not too computer savvy, so I feel that someone could easily get my info without me even knowing. I was also told by someone that if you are on a secure site like a banks website, that you have nothing to worry about from hackers etc. How much truth is in that? So if it is possible what to I have to do or get for my computer to make it same for Online Banking? thanks alot for the help.

What makes the people who say secure sites are safe believe that? When hackers can put up a web page that looks exactly like any of the secure banking sites. In fact they do just that in order to get you to enter your userID and password, then link you to the banking site where you think you made a typo entering it. And remember that they can hijack you when you try to connect to a site and redirect you to their hacked web page. They don't even have to infect your computer first.

The fact you have had virus and Spyware problems just shows that you do not understand computer security and how to protect one. No telling what else is still on your system, as no one product detects more than about 80% of what is out there.

Abnormal, wow, thank you so much for the info. Your webpage has alot of helpful sites that I will go through this weekend and see if I can clean up my PC. Also, I just got your PM and again thank you. I have been trying to get help with my log for almost 2 weeks now. I don't know much about PCs so i didn't want to delete anything and screw something up. Were should i post my Log after I get rid of the objects that you said to check off. Everytime I post one here it gets deleted. Again, thanks alot for all your help.
