Hi
My computer has 185MB and 500 Mhz These are the following programs that I installed on my computer

Cacheman
regcleaner (scheduled to run at startup)
AVG
among the usual programs that come preinstalled when you purchase a computer.
I have disabled all programs that are allowed to disable in the start up thru msconfig. I run my scan disk/defrag on a weekly basis. each time i log off the internet i clean all the temp, history, cookie files. My question is that when i am on the internet it takes forever for a web page to load. I am currently using Bellsouth as my ISP. Is there something I can do to increase the speed of how the web pages load?

JJknox, might help some if you already haven't done.
Tools>>Internet Options>>Advanced (Tab)>>Under "Browsing" uncheck "Enable page transitions">>Under "Multimedia" uncheck "Play sounds" uncheck "Play animations" uncheck "Play videos"
Like I said might help.
Good Luck

Hi, I would disable cachman, and change reg cleaner not to load at startup. Worth a try. Post back and let me know if that helps. Goodluck.

Hello again, Theres a bunch of things on a dial up connection on Call for Help. If you havnt heard of The Screensavers do a search with google. At the home page in the upper left is some links, go to tv shows, then go to Call For Help . Once your there, if you scroll down just a little, theres a listing on the right towards the middle, of the last 5 shows. Click on Fridays show, Theres more there than I could ever tell you about dial-up problems. If you cant find it write back and ill try to put a link in. Im not really sure how but ill figure it out if I have to. Good Luck!
