I noticed a message about missing icons when using latest version of Yahoo Messenger and tried to post to it...but says its too old....I have same problem...but have narrowed it down to a wallpaper(webshots) and YM conflict (also happens with MSN Mess.) If wallpaper is enabled and you have either Messenger service on...the icons in the system tray disappear or appear weird. If I turn off the wallpaper....it is fine. Doesn't seem to bother the screensaver tho. I hate this because I like wallpaper.Never had probs with older versions....only the newest updated versions. Anyone got an idea what the conflict is?
