i need the dll file w3knet.dll. i couldnt find it on the net and thats why i need it desperately cause it has corrupted my IE 5.0

This file is part of Netsonic. If you're still using it, just re-install the program.

If you recent uninstalled it and don't want to us the program, then go to start, run and type msconfig (if you're using Win98), and check your system.ini or win.ini files for any reference to Netsonic. If you put a semi-colon in front of the line, windows will ignore that line during boot.

Ooops! - thought I was still in Win9x forum - you will have msconfig, so ignore the bit in brackets re. Win98 - Sorry!

Found this answer already posted Dec 2000

w3knet.dll is a part of the spyware that netsonic sticks on your machine.


Go to start
run/msconfig/startup
take a look at that list...
is any thing from web3000 there?
it's also all over your registry.
