I keep getting errors for VxD entries...

What is a VxD entry?

Examples of Errors: My CD-R keeps geting a VxD error everytime I go to write a disk.


Any suggestions would be much appreciated..

hello
try going to device manager and see if problems showing with the drive? if there are what are they? try removeing drive from device manager if no problems showing reboot.
try going to the drive makers sight and d/l m.e compatable drivers.
allso try crtl,alt,delete shut off every thing but system tray and explorer and try your drive.

vxd's are drivers. If you look at point 18 of the homepage link on this response there is a detailed explanation about vmm32.vxd which is a compiled driver.

Next time you get vxd errors, post the whole error message and you might get more specific help.

Sometimes these errors are caused by there being more than one version of the same vxd on your system or, as Dave says, by a vxd being out of date.
