Hi All...(sorry for long post)

Today I visited a friend whose PC was runing slow,I downloaded and ran Ad aware which cleared 500 + items and I also installed and ran AVG 7 as she had no anti - virus protection.

The scan revealed 10 infections,AVG cleaned and removed the viruses and then prompted us to restart the computer and this is where the problems began.

When trying to restart, the blue screen appears with error message as follows:
File.. PRISMA02(01) + 0019208
Error.. OE. 0028 C2A3B1A8

I'm not able to ctr/alt/delete or press enter as instructed as nothing will happen.

I managed to reboot in safe mode and I managed to find system restore but no matter which date i go back to i still get the same blue screen and error message when it re-starts.

I'm very confused and would appreciate any help.
Thank you.
Julie

Go back into Safe Mode and disable System Restore. Then, run the anti-virus scan.

I think you distroyed your USB driver and needs a reinstall of the mainboard drivers.

which means a windows reinstall.
I could be wrong though.
