Hello,

I am trying to get my brother's computer up and running again. It seems to have a virus that opens up Internet Explorer screens over and over and over again that say the web page can't be found. I can't even keep the computer running long enough to try anything to fix it. I have tried booting in safe mode and running virus scanner but it crashes while the scanner is running. Any suggestions?

Kim

Dear Kimmy16,

Use latest updates for your Antivirus.
Scan system with Anti Spyware utilities such as spybot, adaware etc.
Use IE updates, patches to getrid of these problems.
Download virus removal tools from Net and use it to remove viruses.
Also you can format the drive and reinstall Me to overcome problems.

Thanking you

sree

Its probably one of the new trojan back door type viruses. The ones I have experience with will open popups until the pc crashes. I suggest rebuilding the machine or reloading it from square one.
