virus in write protected

I have an alert that I have a virus in my C:\RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS201.CAB When I try to quarentine, delete or clean it will not allow and says it is write protected.. WHAT DO I DO???? Missy

Boot in DOS, then: attrib -r C:\RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS201.CAB del C:\RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS201.CAB M2 If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

Hi mpeters28 It sounds from your original post that you are able to boot up OK. Have you tried simply right clicking file C:\RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS201.CAB and unchecking the "Read Only" flag in Properties? Regards Stuart
