I ran a Virus Scan from Trend Micro's Free On Line Virus Scanner. Two virus were found, I was able to delete one virus. The Secound virus can not be deleted becouse "the program is in use". The virus is in C:\_Restore\Archive|FS13.CAB*A10001610.CPY*, I have found the file but I am unable to delete file. Can anyone help with this? I can not find what program it is running with. I already checked out MSCONFIG to see if I had any programs running that I did not know about.
Thank You,
Ben

Take note of the path to the infected file.Copy and paste the deltree.exe(the file is in Windows\command folder) to a Win ME boot diskette and boot to dos with this diskette.Type:
deltree C:\path\filetodelete
Answer Y(es) to delete.Reboot without the diskette. The Windows system is the program hindering file removal. You may have to remove file attributes with attrib.exe.Use similar procedure to remove attributes.Copy attrib to diskette and:
attrib -r -s -h c:\path\filetodelete
Good luck.

K. Just disable system restore where the *.cpy files live. Rescan for a virus then you can reenable system restore.

Short answer but it is late...problems, post back.

Listen to Skip, disable system restore and reboot ! This will purge all of the restore/temp files including the one holding the virus .Right click on My Computer, Click on Performance tab ,at ther bottom click on File system, troubleshooting, put a check mark in disable stystem restore, reboot!Run a full H.D. virus scan, should be gone !
Good Luck Nick
