view thumbnails quit working

i don't know what happened but i noticed at first just a few of the thumbnails would show. then i uninstalled a program and all of a sudden none of the thumbnails except for .BMP would show which i have set to open-with the windows paint program. has this happened toanyone else? thanks, claire

Go to this site Read the directions and warnings at the top, scroll down to the " Restore Explorer Thumbnail Preview capability ". Download the reg file and install as instructed.

Try: Start-Run -(type in) regsvr32 thumbvw.dll then ENTER and reboot. It worked for me:) Good luck.

hey thanks i tried it and it worked. geeze and i thought my only options were to either drag the computer into the shop or go without the thumbnails. thanks so much claire
