Hi there, I am having trouble with my mother board that has a built in vt8361/vt8601. My display is stuck in 640 x 480 and 16 colours. It is horrible. I'm using Windows ME and I have checked all settings in the BIOS and I can't figure it out. I have installed the most recent 4 in 1 driver and that does nothing to help this problem.
Please help me soon. Thank-you. Onatarioguy9999@hotmail.com

VT8361/VT8601 refers to your board's chipset. Try re-installing your graphics card driver.

IF that dun work try this. Check to see that your monitor is selected properly. right click on an empty space on the desktop and select properties. then go to the settings tab and see that it is selected right. if not, hit the advanced button on the lower right, then go to the monitor tab and hit the change button. select "specify location" and hit next. now select the "display a list of all the drivers....." and hit next. in the next window select show all hardware and look for your monitor. if your monitors brand is not displayed pick one of the "standard monitor types" that is comparable to yours.
hope this helps
