help my HP Pavilion mouse does not work now....on any USB port...is it a device driver corruption or what..and I am getting rundll error messages having to do with MMSystem.dll file...any suggested solutions to either will be very much appreciated.
same thing ,,,does not help fix it.....any ideas on what is wrong could the mouse driver be corrupted...or could it be related to the Rundll error messages that says it has some issue with the MMSystem.dll file. ????thanks for any ideas on the problem ...MJ

This is not an answer to your problem but it was one to mine. I have the Logitech optical mouse with the USB port connection also. Each time I had to go to a safe mode start-up my mouse would not work After thinking it over I realized that the USB ports were not loaded at safe mode start-up so I used the adapter that was supplied with the mouse and connected it to the regular mouse port and all is fine now.
