I bought a Canon S100 printer with an USB cable. Before the Canon I used an Epson 480 printer with a parallel cable. When I install the programm for the Canon, the programm says that it can't detect the printer port. I already installed the drivers for the USB port but it didn't work. I also did an update of Windows Me but this didn't work either. Please help me.

make sure USB is enabled in your BIOS. you should not have to install drivers for "USB" itself s I assume you mean that you installed drivers for the printer?

This is often trickier than it should be; makes sure your printer is looking at the USB port. Under printer properties, click the details tab; bake sure "print to the following port" is set to USB.
