I just bought a USB hard drive for backing up my data on the c drive. What is the best way to do this, just do an edit, select all, copy, paste command, or is there a better way?
Thanks

god that is gonna be slow., try using ghost and just clone it. if it were me though, I'd just create ONE folder with everything I want to keep in there and just backup the one folder.

I need to do the same thing as I have winme on Compaq Presario 5008US 1 drive 2 partitions, 1 37,000 some odd and the other about 2900 some odd equally 40 gigs. If I would have set up I would have made 4 partitions 1 for operating, 1 for data, one for programs and one for the ghost image.
I have same problem forced to buy extra drive as no separate partition to image C to.
But what I don't undrstand, I understand everything else, how do u get your CD burner to be recognized to span your images too, I made a successful image of D to C, but can't image boot partition to same boot drive and D is not big enough!!!!! have 5.1d.
Thanks!!!!
The reason I want to do this is to take ME totally off and put 98 on and restore drive with image if I want to revert back.
Any suggestions on the CD burner, I have a Phillips CDR/RS 4801 and Easy Creator 5 from Roxio!!!!
Thanks!!!!
