USB 2.0 is about ten times faster. If you go to device manager and look at the USB host controller, if it is USB 2.0 it should say so.

You are unlikely to have native USB 2.0 support on your PC since Windows ME does not support it. It is usually installed by putting in a separate PCI card for that purpose.

Download Everest and install it on your computer. When you run it you can find exactly what is installed on your computer. Get it here: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/everest.html

USB1 is old technology and USB2 is some 40 times faster than USB1

Open Device Manager then USB Contollers.

IF you have an entry which reads

.....PCI to USB ENHANCED Host Contoller

then you have USB 2
