Easy to understand information here...
http://www.btinternet.com/~robert.bale1/hyperlinks.htmhttp://www.btinternet.com/~robert.bale1/hyperlinks.htm

Ho hum, maybe I should go read it again myself !!
Here is the link...
http://www.btinternet.com/~robert.bale1/hyperlinks.htm

Type the url you want to create a link to,
surrounded by quotes;
"http://www.computing.net"
You must place it between 2 HTML flags;
Type; Type what text you want to be seen here...then typeHope that's clear & correct...I'm still learning myself.

I don't feel so bad now...I see we all need a lil' practice!
the text you want to be seen(HTML BASICS in my 1st post)should be placed between;
"" and,
"" leaving quotes around "your URL",not
around the HTML flags.
I hope I got it right this time,although Krystyna probably beat me to it.

BTW, here’s an HTML Test Bed that will allow anyone to test their code, so they don’t have to use this forum to do their testing. (Hint!)

the web address for the link looks like this:a href="http://computing.net/"
at the end put a "greater than" symbol after the quote mark: >
at the beginning where it says "a href="put a "lesser than" symbol before the
quote mark: at the end of it and a Computing.Net

sorry, screwed that one up. replacing the "greater than" and "lesser than" symbols with brackets [], it would look like this:
[a href="http://computing.net/"]Computing.Net[/a]
to add size and color use "font":
[a href="http://computing.net/"]Computing.Net[/a]
the color name should be in quotes.
the larger the number after "size" the larger the text.here are two links for more color options.
use > instead of ]
and < instead of [

Thanks Renaissance Man...that's a neat little doodah for checking your links first.
Might help to save me from looking like a pratt !

Renaissance Man and others. You also can just open notepad and write your code or what ever else you want. Then save it by naming it ____.html Fill in the blank with what ever you want. Then open it with "Internet Explorer" to see if it's right and if it's the way you want it.
Hope this is helpful.
I'll Try
