Unwanted folder opening on startup

The last step of the startup procedure on my computer is to open the "Creative" folder on my desktop. This commenced after installing the Creative SoundBlaster Live soundcard software. I don't want this to occur.
I am aware of the msconfig unchecking procedure, but this doesn't permanently remove the offending instructions, it merely disables them. Further, you need to run startup in a "partial" mode for ever.
Can any body please assist with permanently removing the offending instruction. Your solution will be very much appreciated. Thanks

I use System Mechanic from iolo-technologies. This program can delete options in the startupmenu. JOhan

If you go into the Creative program from the Programs menu you can access the Options menu in the Audio HQ. The first it is 'Load on startup' if this is ticked just select it again to disable. Other wise yuo need to remove the registry key that is linked to this program. Let me know if you want this solution.
