Comment:

I need detailed info on how to "unrar using full paths" with WinRar...I have searched, but everything I come up with only shows me the command lines to use...I am not sure of how to use these command lines though. Like what exactly would I type to access WinRar through dos and then what do I put to make it switch to full paths?

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

You may be confused.

RAR is a DOS (command line) application - WinRAR is not, it's a Graphical Interface, much like WinZip, and is configured from the application itself

Computers in the future may have only 1,000 vacuum tubes and perhaps only weigh 1 1/2 tons.

Open a command window at your winrar install folder and key in:

UNrar /?

It will list the command syntax for you.
To get the syntax into a file type:

UNrar /? > UNrar.txt

Then you can read the text file.

I guess that i should add something about full paths; if the path contains strings longer than DOS 8.3 or includes spaces, put the specifier in quotation marks. For example the command to invoke UnRAR might be:

"C:\Program Files\Winrar\UnRAR.exe"

and follow this with the switches for UnRAR and the reqired specifiers maybe in quotes as above if needed.
