I have got an issue with one of my clients, running Windows ME. There is some sort of virus or Malware running that creates copies of itself, with random names like x9r40f.exe. They always seem to be 201k in size, however. They try to attach themselves to the registry under User and system, in the /RunOnce section. I have Spybot 1.3's teatimer to help keep them locked out of the registry, but something keeps making new copies and tries to insert them into the resistry. Spybot 1.2, 1.3, and NAV don't see anything suspicious. I ran HiJackThis, and I didnt see anyting too unusual. I will post the HJT loge here later today. Thanks to anyone with any information.

Before you post a log file. Go through these steps first. And yes, I know you will have done some of them already.
Download to C:\ this batch file and run it. Delindex 5.0
Then disable system restore and run two out of the three scans. Give yerself a nose bleed if you want and run all three.
Then to accompany a fully updated Spybot 1.3 use a fully updated Ad-Aware 6 and run that.
Then download and run a fully functional trial version of Trojan Remover v6.2.3.
Reenable system restore.
Where does that leave you now ? (apart from bored)

If you look in system configuration utility
start
run
msconfig
startup tab
you will probably see an item called morze or maybe morze5
most of the time this is what causes the problem
http://www.thatcomputerguy.us/files/remove.reg
should take care of the problem
just download this removal tool
your welcome
