Unable to defrag

Heya, Im unable to defrag my comp.. I go to accessories/sys tools/disk defragmenter.... and i follow the procedure to get it on to the main screen, however, it never starts, it's just a clear white screen with nothing going on with it...sometimes i leave it for over an hour, but still nothing... tks for ut time reading this. lew.

Bah... sry, Im a bit of a rookie, what's the procedure to run the comp in safe mode. Ty v.much. Hehe

Reboot and keep pressing F8 every half second until you are presented with a menu of options. Choose safe mode and let the PC start up. When you are finished in safe mode reboot again and the PC will revert to normal mode.
If defrag has worked for you, also visit the homepage link on this response and you will have a much better running system.
