Try this. Run System Tools - Disk CleanUp utility. Select the C: drive. In the "files to delete" window, make sure the "Downloaded Program Files" line is checked. Select this line and click the "View Files" button. Then manually remove (delete) all the Objects in the "Downloaded Program Files" window. Then exit out and complete running the Disk Cleanup utility. Reboot system and test.

If any of the browser helper files in the downloaded program files list are really needed, they will be downloaded again. One or more of these files could be corrupted, back-level or just plain causing problems.

Try a total cleanup, make sure Disk Cleanup cleans everything out. Then run Scandisk, then Defrag. Make sure your hard drive is not almost full. Check to see how much is loaded at startup. You may be low on resources. You can run msconfig and look at Startup.

JMKChang, sounds to me like too much stuff is running in the background. Remember that everything running DEMANDS attention from your CP (motherboard) and if there is a lot of stuff going at the same time, it will be a while before the next job your CP needs to do gets handled. Cut down on the tasks you are trying to do at once and see if that helps things along. HTH.

JMKChang,

Might, might help with the typing.
Tools, Internet Options, Content (Tab), AutoComplete (button), Uncheck -- Web addresses and Forms, then click Clear Forms (button), and OK, OK, OK Maybe to many oks. I don't know. You get the jest of it :-)

And since we have you cleaning up things. Start, Settings, Taskbar and Start Menu, Advanced (Tab), click Clear (button)

Worth a try.
Anything to stop those tears

Don't you just hate it, when you can't nail those things down ;-)

Not enough info!

Do you have a Dialup connection?

If dialup, move mouse pointer over the two little computers on the right side of your taskbar. It should tell you that you are connected @ ?????bps
If the connection is less than 48000bps, disconnect and then reconnect to the net as many times as necessary untill you connect @48000 or better. If that is the problem, Find a better service provider. Is your modem less than 5-years old?

Again, need more info!!!
