Ok, this is the story. My PC has win me and win xp as dual boot OSs, one day the 2nd hard disk was added and after a long time i relised the D drive in both OS had no link betrween each other. I thought it was because the formating was different in win me the D drive is FAT32 and on XP it was NTFS, so i didnt pay much attention and hardly used WIN ME, not cause i disliked it or anything, its because XP was more flixible. recently due to thunder and lightning (my cable modem was connected through USB) my motherboard got busted, fortunately no harm came to the hard disks. Once that i got a new motherboard, i tried going to XP as usual but it showed an XP/DOS(grey, blact horizontal bar, you know) progress bar and nothing else happned. I tried starting in safe mode then some configurations showed up all through the screen and stopped at a point as if the system halted those were something like:
disk(0)partition(2)/WINDOWS/system32/file.extention
nevertheless i assume WIN XP is corrupted, now i've noticed something quite odd. For starters, i'm a professional web developer and i have a lot of flies in that XP D DRIVE for my clients, so its important that i get that disk drive D on to win me.
There are two disks:
1) GENERIC IDE DISK TYPE47 ( C:, E:)
2) GENERIC IDE DISK TYPE47 ( D:,F:,G:,H:,I:)In theory i recall the DRIVE D on win XP was on the 1st disk. So my question is this, is there a easy, possible, method to retreive that D drive with no alterations or re-formating?
All suggestions are welcome.

hello
m.e cannot see ntfs witch is what xp uses .
you could try doing a repair install of xp.
this should fix any corupt or missing system files and allow you to boot to it.
you could allso slave the xp hd to anther computer that uses w2k or xp and retrive your files from there.
