I had Tweakui installed on my previous computer w/Windows95B, but have been unsuccessful in my attempts with this machine. All I can manage to get are the Help file, LGC file, and the CNT file. Help needed. Thanks,

I tried installing this utility more then once on my system running WindowMe with no success ? I hope you have better exprience then I did ! I finally gave up .

I can't get past the Zip area of the download. I unzip and it zips back up. I tried the site you suggested "ShutMeUpOrDown", and I couldn't do any business there either. It put me through the same torment. Or I guess I am self-inflicting. Thanks,

Heres a self extracting zip file. Execute this exe. It will extract 4 files. One of which is called "tweakui.inf". Right click that file/choose install.
It puts an entry in the control panel. Its not like normal software we use every day that creates a shortcut. It more like a plug in for control panel.
You might have to restart the computer.. not sure.. been a while.. either way.. it should show up with your other icons in control panel. You might have to click the little link to show all contents of control panel to see it.

I might not have been clear.. that exe doesnt install anything.. all it does is extract the files for you. Self extracting zip files are .exe files. You dont need a zip utility to open this kind of compressed zip file.
By default.. the self extractor tried to stick the files in my temp directory.. you can extract it anywhere by altering the path.. extract it to the desktop if you want.
Thats the purpose of the exe with this file.. to make it easy to extract [unzip] a bunch of files.
To actually install tweakui you have to right click the inf and choose install.

Tweakui.inf is nowhere to be found when doing as instructed. All that appears is Tweakui, and from that I keep going to Win Zip Self Extractor. It wants to unzip 4 files over and over. I can't get beyond that point. I know it shouldn't be as difficult as I am making it. Thanks again,

If your not able to extract files maybe you shouldnt be installing a tweak app.
Might be somethign seriously wrong with your system.
