I donīt have much work around that matter of deleting duplicated files, but let me say if you are safe about removing that one. Once you have all the programs to support the phisical components, youīre safe to try to remove it and then wait for the result. If doesnīt work afterwards, reeinstall the program that turned out in the need of it and that file will come back to its position. About the DLLīs, all windows O.S. after the old version of 3.1 came up with that new way of dealing with the dynamic libraries blá, blá, blá. What they do its each time you install a new program, after the other, this DLLīs staff works about using a comum file sharing (of all the programs) to speed up the acess of one that you start to use, around the way that its positioned on the surface of your HDD. Its faster for the system and much better wen few people donīt remeber how important itīs to defragment all the time its possible our pc. The problems that it causes sometimes, oftenly, is that wen we update our files, this changes their versions (file versions, exp.:time/date/language/size,position...)and turns out in conflits and malfunctions towards diferent programs that we use or may get in the future times. DLLīs are good, but sensible. You could get a registry cleaner program to free up lots of space and smoth speed up your system. Couse each time we remove a program, remains lots of references of it around the reg. and fill up space in our HDD like sand or dust in our house each time we across without cleaning the shoes. Regclean itīs one, but you can get many more freeware. About cleaning duplicated files, any program for it itīs a danger in our hands because most of the results are pointing us to the registry tree and thatīs the soul of all. Backup the registry to a file, and to a floppy, too. Like that you are able to return for the first base again. But its not effective and full proof. Tell something back if you find more problems that we all may help:)
