What is the best (and fastest) method of transfering all files from desk top to lap top? I travel alot and like to take my desk top files with me. I use both lotus notes and outlook for email the rest is basic stuff like powerpoint and word.
Thanks a bunch
Lin

Hi Lin.

If both your desktop and laptop have USB ports, you could buy a USB hard drive.

They are about 3" long and come in various MB sizes.

You plug it into one USB port, copy files, then plug it into the other USB to transfer the files.

TigerDirect.com has 3 pages of USB hard drives available.

Take care,

One more option...look into fastlynx which offers 3 connection options. I use it between my desktop and notebook and it works real well with usb. A bit pricey at $100, but worth it to me as I travel to clients offices and need to have the latest on the notebook. Plus, I can install it on client system and download databases. Can't recall the web site, but google has it.
