My computer about a month ago got the "actulice" issue you might have seen on this page however at the same time as getting that issue I also get a lot of "Iexplore" when pressing ctl-alt-dlt. These slow my computer down greatly. I only will have 1 or 2 MS Internet Explorers open but it might show of them or more. Any idea what might be causing this and do you have a way to fix it?

I'm not sure what you are saying but it sounds like you are having some kind of problem with IE. My motto is #1 check the connections and the off/on switch first, and then #2 Avoid the problems and re-install whatever is messing up.
Try this:

You just got rid of actulice, that's a major bug. Sometimes when you get rid of a major bug it frags IE. You might want ot re-install IE:

There's no way to tell if you are updated, and that solves a lot of problems. Update everything--Windows, IE, Outlook Express even if you don't use it, updating it will affect IE settings positively. Keep your AV updated.
Clean house:
dump %TEMP% files > double click My Computer, put %TEMP% in address bar, enter, highlight and delete all. To dump TIF click tools > options > delete files, check the box for delete off line content > click ok > click delete cookies. > click ok. Dump recycle bin. Do it all from Safe Mode if you can.
Shut down for two full minutes.
Try this and see if there's a change.
What happens when you 'end task' on the mystery IE windows in 'close programs' (ctrl-alt-delete)?
Thresher

Try repairing Internet Explorer first, before attempting to reinstall IE.
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, click Add/Remove, click Repair the current installation of Internet Explorer, and then click OK.
