It's back. The mysterious ~.
It appeared on my desk top several months ago. Don't know what it is, where it came .why it's here. It didn't do any apparent harm - but you never know.
In any event it's back. On the desk top.
it's a file type, 192kb. origin "desk top"
I'v googled it and learned nothing.
Does anyone know what the heck it is??

I believe it is some kind of backup file created by OE when you make changes to addressbook. I recall something similar when I used to use ME. Safe to delete it.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.
