Hey Jiff, is it necessary to post this 15 times a day? Yur darn right it is, It should be posted 50 times a day, so many times people asking about ME, that dont kno anythng about ME and it should be exposed often, as when a message is posted its not long be4 it at the bottom of the list, then out of site. Any1 who want2 xpose how bad ME is, Let them post it as often as they want. The more postups the better. Then less people will be ripped-Off.

don't get me wrong. i agree that Windows ME is a worthless OS. i don't use it and in my position i troubleshoot it A LOT!!! people are still going to buy it just because it's the latest, but not necessarily the greatest, Microsoft has to offer. most of the people this article is intended for don't even read it.

I for one agree!!! I don't feel that this goes far enough since in a round about way this article says to expect XP to be ALL THAT! As I recall many people have come into this message group and told the many truths about Micro Shaft. As individuals those that own, control and work for M$ are making a rather large mistake by treating us (the people who provide their income) as though we were fools that will fall for the same trick over and over! As a business M$ is the biggest shell game of all time. They are truly maniacal and down rite mean. If you ever go to any MS OEM or channel distribution seminars you will see the master plan at work. These people could operate in a different manner and actually get the world to like what they do and what they are about. They don't since it is impossible to convert a criminal into a hero. MS should close their doors and give up! It would be honorable and fare. When and if consumers start to look at other options like continuing with the software that they have already paid for or other OSes (that actually perform better and faster) many new and truly innovative options will begin to appear. The expression goes, "PUT THE FAT CAT ON A DIET!" I don't want to rent applications that I have already paid too much money for "OFFICE" I don't think that I need a new OS every couple of months. That is something that I don't hear anyone addressing? OFFICE? How many ways are there to make a letter or spread sheet or database? Does any of the new software truly, like Office 2001, do anything except for repairing SOME of the problems with 2000 and adding the feature that limits how many times that you can install it??? Buy buying MS software you sort of say, "Yea, MS is the best!" MS has completely destroyed the application market and uses favoritism and threats to OEMs to sell only MS software. An interesting note @ one-tenth the size Star Office does exactly the same thing as MS Office and it is FREE. Linux gets online faster but due to the latest INOVATIONS of MS the actual web file contents has changed so that MS can completely dominate the Internet. Every copy of ME, 2000 or XP, sold, is another nail in the casket that free trade and the Internet was!! In a way it’s already to late but for me to give up when I am in the same boat as many others would be BAD!! Regarding ME, I have heard all sorts of people boast that ME is better than 98 yet regardless of that argument, why is it that MS software is only compared to other MS software???? That is because MS has destroyed the entire software market and branded our minds with their LOGO!! One day not so long ago a window was a thing that you would open to let the fresh air in now a Window is a thing you add to your computer to allow the biggest baldest thief in...............M$!!! It seems that our own government has failed in its attempt to repair the situation. The last hurdle between MS and our BILLIONS is US, WE...THE CONSUMERS!!! I am not suggesting that everyone runs out and gets LINUX! I am stating that if MS comes out with something "NEW" don't spend your money and continue to use what you have already paid for. When it stops working through MSes "INOVATION" we can all meet in WASHINGTON and hand deliver the software that we OWN back to MS who still owns the "INTELECTUAL RITES" to it!! In they end they will have to give us what we want or be destroyed by the same method that they have killed off all of the other companies that challenged them!! Greed is one of the 7 deadly sins. If we continue to COVET MS then we are also screwed up!!! Enough of MS!! If MS lost it's appeal and control than other companies would be starting up all over the place and they would make better and better products since they would be hungry. All those that work for MS that would loose their MS jobs would Spin Off to begin the competitive days of software.
