Comment:
I was told to reinstall the TCP/IP settings on my notebook because my TCP/ip is not bound to a NIC. The problem occured after I was hooked up to a different network on a trip abroad. Now my teh guy tells me that the TCP got coroded and I just need to reinstall it. Not so easy for me. How do I do that (running Windows Me)? Thanks for your help!

Try going to Add/Remove Programs-Windows Setup-communications and uninstall(Uncheck) tcp/ip and reboot. To re-install: Add/Remove Programs-Windows Setup-communications and check tcp/ip and reboot.
