System Tray icons disappear Y! Mess

I have Windows ME and everytime I open Yahoo Messenger the system tray icons disappear. I know its not a virus or hacker because I just freshly installed Windows Me and have a firewall and antivirus software running. I've done all my Windows Update and have the latest Yahoo Messenger installed as of 8/18/2003. Please help. I've been searching the web for the fix. E-mail me at temp70301@yahoo.com

Hi Chance. Try this...go to c:\windows and delete the file ShellconCache Reboot and wait a little. Windows will rebuild a new ShellconCache hopefully fixing the problem...it's worth a try. -good luck

No, it didn't work. Please help. Its driving me nuts. Everytime I open up Yahoo Messenger those damn system tray icons become invisible and I have to restart my computer to get them back. Please help. There must be some registry hack to fix this.
