system restores leaving stuff there

hey guys I dont have virus scans so I restore my computer a lot but find that when im previewing videos videos will often pop up from a long time ago that are no longer on my computer? how are they still there and will they go away

It's extremely difficult to know what you mean, and nearly impossible to guess how your system is setup
It's quite foolhardy not to employ antivirus and other security software, especially considering there are decent freeware choices

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

AVG and Avast are examples of free AV's. Wondering if you have a firewall or router....
Very often Windows system restore will NOT clear out a virus, unless you are referring to a restore disk that came with the machine and does a reformat.

Summary: Aha, its never easy...Tried your suggestion, but I have EZ-BIOS controlling the partitioning, and it stops with a problem on my D partition, Abort, Retry, Blah blah... So that ain't working. Question...
