I am posting this for a friend that doesn't have access to the internet right now. I am a Mac user and do not know the windows os. I need to know how to do a system restore of windows me (all original software) and leaving his files such as a couple thousand mp3's alone...is this possible and yes i do beleive he has a Windows Me disc, only it is a burned copy, if this matters...how can he boot from the disc and access the utilities that may perform this task? If possible please e-mail the steps or post them, it would be much appreciated. Also I guess he actually had someone that gets paid to fix PC's tell him that he must re-install windows. He does not want to lose the files though. Any help will be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

the system restore is in Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore... if he clicks on it the rest is selfexplanatory.... i cant tell what is next because i did it last time 5 month ago and have system restore disabled.... in any case he should first back up his data and his mp3.... if his computer does not work at all or cant back them up from his computer, he should take out the hard drive, switch the jumper to slave and put his hard drive into other computer and copy his files on a different hard drive... napster is dying... so he wont be able to recoup them ;-) Regards Miro
