System restore

CPU/Ram: AMD athlon/128meg

Followed Symantec's instruction on disabling "system restore" to eliminate harbored viruses. Unchecked "disable system restore" after reboot to re-enable system restore. Rebooted again. Went back in and checked system restore status, box is still checked. Unchecked box, apply, yes to reboot prompt, rebooted again. Went into system performance, file performance and system restore is disabled again. How do I get system restore to stay enabled?

hello
allso try resetting system restore allso set slider to the amount of space required for system restore and try setting a new system restore point.
there is allso a cuple of system restore patches. try d/ling those if you never have.
