I have system restore activated and I remember having used it in the past. However, I tried it the other day and there weren't any active points. Then today I tried to create a restoration point and I get an error message, it tells me taht it can't create one and taht I should reboot and try again. But it still didn't work... The only thing I changed was that I installed a new mouse and a webcam a couple months ago. Don't know if that has something to do with it. Thanks! any help will be very much appreciated

artemisa, the following tells you how to stop restore points. Maybe a little 'reverse engineering' will restart? "To disable System Restore Right click the My Computer icon on the Desktop and click on Properties. Click on the Performance tab. Click on the File System button. Click on the Troubleshooting tab. Put a check mark next to 'Disable System Restore'. Click the 'OK' button. You will be prompted to restart the computer. Click Yes." HTH. Ed in Texas.
