I have windows ME. My system restore does not work. It just does not save any date and time and is always empty of days earlier than today. I have it set up with the highest memory which is 550 Mb, and it is not disabled(both functions in System, Control panel), what is wrong and how can I restore it?

Rama, by chance you haven't unchecked *StateMgr in "msconfig" "startup" have you?
Sorry you lost me on (both functions in System, Control panel) Unless you were meanning "System Configuration Utility" Then I guess that you don't have it unchecked.
Good Luck

I have Norton Utilities 2001 installed on my system . I became aware of a problem with Windows Me not creating restore points with the disk health sensor active in Norton Doctor . If you do have it , simply remove the Disk Health Sensor in Norton Doctor , and the system restore will start creating new restore points again !LOL, Nick

Start / Settings / Control Panel / System / Perfomance tab / Troubleshooting / Disable System Restore

The only other concerns are:
Do you have the Patch from Windows Update for the Restore Function?
Make sure StateMgr is checked in
Start / Run / type msconfig {go} / Startup tab

Thanks to all that answered. I think the problem was that I had unchecked StateMgr in MSconfig startup tab.
