Under system properties, it says Very Low, 4% free. AOL System Info says 32% free for system resources. Why is it so low? How can I get it to normal? Is this the reason my computer freezes?

Thanks for any help!

Have you brought up the

"Close Program" window

by pressing "Ctrl+Alt+Delete"

to see what & how many programs you have running in the background that could be hogging your pc's resources?

Some programs make it into your "Startup" lineup without you knowing it & load everytime you start your pc. You only need the basics for start up.

Close out the programs you don't need from the "Close Window" and you should regain some of your resources.

To see if programs you don't need are loading at startup:

on the task bar press "Start",
then "Run",
in the "open" slot type "msconfig" (without the quotations),
then press "ok".

When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, go to "Startup". There you will see a number of programs. The ones with check marks in front of them are starting up every time you start your pc. If you uncheck them & restart your pc, they won't start with your pc starting. Some are "onery" & seem to come back in the "Starup". Just take them out again.

SOME PROGRAMS ARE NECESSARY FOR YOUR PC TO WORK!!! BE SURE YOU DON'T NEED A PROGRAM BEFORE "UNCHECKING" IT!!!

That works for me, hope it helps.
