System Mechanic is expensive in my opinion (for no more than it does) but contains other useful tools.

i use reg cleaner as stated above, but don't really understand it, dll's etc, i stay away from the things i don't understand , does this program have a tutorial or something to explain what file types, shell extensions, etc , mean? thanks bill.
I am sorry I like System Mechanic a lot better, didn't have to buy it so did not matter in comparing the two the RegCleaner did take a couple of my needed files, I forgot which ones, but I do use the regclean I guess it 4.1, and as far as tweaks that Tweak UI, may be good but I will never try it again, it really goofed me up. I also like the Delindex.bat. Sue
