This was from a previous post and I am having the exact same problem and also would like to know why this is happening. System seems to be running very well with no issues so far. I have the soon to be released to the public version. Before you ask its legit and I got it from where I work as a gift.

Hello, my system consist of the following:
Asus K7V
Athlon 750
Drivers: VIA 4 in 1
After installing ME version 4.90.3000 over Win98, System Infomation\Components\Problem Devices reports:
Device: ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
PNP Device ID: ACPI\*PNP0C0F\000000002
Error Code: 22

This is not causing any major problems, I've located the device in the system registry under HKEY_Local_Machine\Enum\ACPI but could use a little help on where to go from here.
Thanks in advance

I dont have any mainboard drivers for my motherboard. Abit BH6. So I dont know what the problem is, I will probably try to do a full clean install soon and see if that gets rid of it.

I'm having the same exact problem and it's driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

My config is as follows:
Abit VT6X4
PIII-500
Drivers: VIA 4 in 1
Clean install
System Infomation\Components\Problem Devices reports:
Device: ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
PNP Device ID: ACPI\*PNP0C0F\000000002
Error Code: 22
Anybody else come across this problem and resolve it? I've tried deleting all the AVI device drivers and reinstalling them and my motherboard has the latest BIOS. Funny thing is that under Control Panel\System\Device Manager everything's fine, including the PCI Steering drivers. I don't get it.
