Comment:

When I open system information -> system configuration I get this error message : " Unable to synchronize the environment variables in the Windows Registry with the environment variables in the legacy files AUTOEXEC.BAT and/or CONFIG.SYS " . What does this mean ?

I know that on Windows ME this can happen when there is an extra space after the SET TEMP= line in AUTOEXEC.BAT

After the space is removed from the end of this (or other) line(s), the error should go away.
