Scenario:

While browsing, with Internet Explorer v6.0.2600.0000 and Windows ME, I right click on a picture and get a message dialog that states

"The system cannot find the specified file" with only an OK button to click.

I've had this problem once before but can't remember how I fixed it. I do remember it was in the configuration of Internet Explorer.

Now as coincidence would have it, my Son just so happened to have been playing with my configuration as recent as last night.

Apparently he decided to enable all cookies as well as java so he could play some online games.

He must have changed something else, but I seem to be unable to find what.

Any help out there?

Dave

Hi, me Dave again.

I forgot to mention this even though I'm reasonable sure everyone would have been able to infer it.

My objective was to right click and save a picture.

Dave,

If resetting the IE to all default settings doesn't help you, you can just run repair from the Control Panel\Add & Remove Programs. Or you can just reinstall after you completely remove it.
I completely removed my PC's IE6 that went corrupt just two days ago, because repair wouldn't correct the problem. Then reinstalled after a reboot. Everything is up and running fine now.
