Often when I open a new website an error message appear. "SymRealWinOpen is unidentified. It says that it has occured a problem with the website and it may not be shown or work properly." If I click OK the website opens up as usual, but what does the error message caused by?
Thank you for help!

Hi micael,
Never worry about minor details like English, it's a pig to deal with ! Anyway this a computing forum. :)
I've been using "there" when it should be "their" for years and actually enjoy doing so now and see no reason to change.
I have absolutley no knowledge of what your talking about, but a quick search on google provided this.
SymRealWinopen ist undefiniert
and the translated page looks like This
So by my reckoning, it's either a setting in Nortons firewall to do with pop ups, or your man Dudlhofer may offer a fix with his "disable script debugging" theory. I'd try that one first anyway.
Does this help you at all ?
This thread is worth a quick look as well

Hi Viking,
Thank you. I was not sure what to do, but I did what Dudlhofer suggested. Though, I'm not really sure what caused this and if it's still some problem. More investigations needs. The error message just disappeared but it can still be some error on the website. However, thanks for the ideas about this.

I am having the same problem except in the left hand corner it says done but with errors on page and then I click details and it says SymRealWinOpenUndefined..sometimes it goes to the webpage but sometimes not....I have tried everything. I want to get to yahoo..games..and play scrabble but it won't let me..HELP

The problem is caused by your Nortons software.
To correct the problem you can diable the 'Ad Blocking' feature on Nortons Personal Firewall/Internet Security.Basically what happens is that any page that uses javascript for anything, pop-up or not, Nortons adds its own little chunk of code to the webpage.
you may also want to check the symantec web site for more info on this.

I got the same error and only since I started using the Norton's Anti-Spam. I've turned off the Ad Blocking, but still got it. Unchecking the "tell me all the scripts errors" option (in Tools>Options>Advanced tab) got rid of the error or debugging message.
