that's it? out of like 20 million lines of code there are 246 known issues?

I gotta get me that os, sounds really stable.

Thank you very much, Miro! It answers my recent "System resources" question:

miro, just out of curiosity, have you looked up the known issues for win98? as you seem to
like it so much more than ME i would like to know which has the most issues. i bet it would be 98, which is the most unstable os i have used.

Thanks Miro,

I check that site every so often ever since you started telling us about it.

Just wanted to let you know I went out and bought a $35 UMAX scanner (had rebates)...and it works great. I can fax, email, scan a photo, go back to fax, do a few more photos, and it never, ever locks up. The software that came with it works well also. I understand that the quality of the scans from the HP scanner (both my old HP and this new UMAX are 42 bit color, 600 DPI) are supposidly better, but sheesh, they aren't better if the scanner doesn't work!

Anyway, happy camper here to only spend $35 on a great working scanner.

Take care,
Karen
