I am a reasonably advanced W98 user. A friend has fallen for the Sulfnbk hoax virus and emailed all his friends telling them to delete the file:

c:\windows\command\suflnbk.exe

I am clueless abvout Windows ME

May I ask if, for WME:

1. Does that file exist?

2. Is there an equivalent of SFC for
restoring original files?

3. Just in case, does Windows Explorer
exist?

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Thanks for info. What I didn't make clear is that he is on W98 and I was after advising him on what to suggest for other users he has sent to.

Anyhow, site will help and I've collected other info.
