I have an address bar I put on my taskbar (i always do this, it's really convenient for the computer illiterate like my mom) It usually shows the ie icon next to the address that's in it (which is always yahoo.com, 'cause that's all my mom ever goes to, and I use firefox, so I don't use the address bar there) Well earlier today it had the icon that my music files have, which I thought was weird, but didn't worry about it, but now it's showing some grey icon I've never seen before, that looks something like a tall tub. When I click go, and ie opens it goes back to the ie icon for a while.
I haven't ran spybot or adaware yet, I just wanted to go ahead and ask here first to see if anyone knew what's going on.
Thanks,
Reese

try right clicking your mouse on a blank part of the desktop page, it gives a menue, try clicking 'refresh icons'

I believe you're referring to what's known as a "favicon"...which not all sites implement.
There is a program called FavOrg that will manage that and more.I believe the last/best/free version is at the link below.
If you read the threads on this page,it should clear things up for you even further...if not,I can provide you with a manual way to make happen.http://www.pcqanda.com/dc/dcboard.php
*Please let me/us know how you make out. ;-)
