Comment:

I have a minor problem with my desktop icons. I'm not sure how, but after exiting out of my Kazaa media desktop and windows media player (because both froze) I noticed these strange graphics overlapping some of my desktop icons. The graphic is a coloured box (red, blue, yellow, green)with what looks like a note pad behind it. I tried refreshing my desktop and restarting my computer, but there are still there. The graphics are harmless because my icons are still functional, but I still want to know how to get rid of them and how they got there in the first place. Much appreciation and thanks for any help.

Something like that happened to me before.
Try to go under your Display properties.
Right click,
Click under Properties
Look for EFFECTS and click on it
Then Click on Default Icons, then apply and OK.
