I am running Windows Me. I am wanting to get rid of some of my startup files in msconfig. Let me list the items and tell me what i can turn off safely.
ScanRegistry/TaskMonitor/PCHealth/System Tray/LoadPower Profile/New.net Startup/Load Power Profile/SchedulingAgent/SSDPSRV/*StateMgr/CSINJECT.EXE/StillmageMonitor/TrueVector/MiniLog
Tell me the things i can turn off.
Thanks for you time.

Near the bottom of this page(copy and paste link below)>>
http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_content.htm#Select
there is an alphebetical breakdown of a TON of programs found in the start-up tray.
This should help.

ScanRegistry/TaskMonitor/PCHealth/System Tray/LoadPower Profile/New.net Startup/Load Power Profile/SchedulingAgent/SSDPSRV/*StateMgr/CSINJECT.EXE/StillmageMonitor/TrueVector/MiniLog
taskmonitor, dump
pchealth-statemgr is your system restore, I recommend keeping.
Loadpower profile--if using a desktop computer dont need.
new.net--dump
scheduling agent--schedules defrag, etc. do them yourself---dump
ssdpsrv--dump
nject.exe--dump!
still image moniter--dump
truevector---used by zone alarm--keep
minilog--turn off in zone alarm first, then dump it.

To dump new.net, please uninstall it from add/remove programs as it changes your winsock files and will prevent you from browsing if not uninstalled/stopped correctly.
To dump ssdpsrv go to add/remove programs>>windows setup and uncheck Universal Plug and Play.
