The "start" icon on my display is now in the top lefthand corner and the "clock" in the bottom lefthand corner, How can I get them back to their normal position?

Click on the Taskbar, and drag it back down to the bottom of the screen.

thats the way its normally done. just left click on the lower left corner and drag towards the right and it should pop back on bottom . If not don't know what else to tell you , thats a normal windows function and if it doesn't you may have to reload windows if it bothers you and it doesn't move for some reason.
