Hi,
My PC is Dell Dimension L866r, pentium 3, 866Mhertz and 20giga, I want to uninstall all the program and reinstall back as new. My PC is cluttered with all kind of games my child used to download.
I have CDs supplied when I bought this PC: i.e. DELL RESOURCE, WINDOW ME INSTALLATION, DRIVERS AND UTILITIES and OFFICE WORKSUITE.
How am I going to do this, I tried according to guidebook but no avail. Ple help. Thanks and regards

Najfy, seems a little extreme to me. Perhaps you could simply delete/uninstall the offenders and preserve what is left?
Since you have the original disks, you can always format the Hdd and re-install ME as a last resort. That will provide you with a COMPLETELY blank slate and you can start over. Another thought is to restore to a previous date pre games (if possible) which would get rid of the clutter and, at the same time, preserve your files.
Moral : there is more than one way to 'skin a cat'.HTH.

i have a emachine that has windows me on it and i had problems with it loading up because it took so long si i scaned the computer and found a virus and deleted it and once i did i put in the system restore disc and did all that to restore.... and after i did all that i get errors. Different ones every time like "While Initializing device ios Error: An i/o subsystem driver failed to load Either A file in the ./iosubsys subdirectory is curropt or the system is low on memory" Which it is not... and the other System halted cannot start windows because Vmm32.vxd was not found or its damaged You need to install vmm32.vxd" if you could help me i would very much appreciate it Thx
